[LINK] Go 1.0

Go 1.0 was released two days ago.

I’ve had something of a soft spot for Go ever since it was announced: it looks like a more modern, cleaner, more succinct version of C, and in many ways it behaves like it too. It’s great to see that the first version of the language has reached maturity, and it’s also fantastic to see that the community (and Google, who do a large bulk of the development) are committed to Go.

(Now would be a great time for me to re-commence work on Screttler. Hmm.)
